Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-02 · Effective: 2026-08-02
era. is a virtual wardrobe and stylist. This policy covers exactly what exists today — the waitlist, the Founding reservation, and this website — and nothing speculative. When the app launches, this policy will be updated first.
This policy is provided by [ERA LEGAL ENTITY] ("era.", "we", "us"). Questions: [email protected].
The short version
We store your email address if you join the waitlist, your card and $9 with Stripe if you reserve a founding place, and nothing about your visit that identifies you. There are no cookies here, so there is no cookie banner. Ask us to delete your data and we will, within thirty days, referrals included.
The waitlist and the referral graph
When you join the waitlist we store: your email address (and a normalized form of it used only to prevent duplicate signups), the time and IP address of your signup (your consent record), a random referral code, and — if you arrived through a friend's link — which signup referred you. Verified referrals add points that move your place in line; positions are computed from this data, never edited by hand.
Why we store it: to run the waitlist you asked to join, to attribute referrals honestly, and to prove consent. The legal basis for marketing email is your consent, given by double opt-in: we email you a verification link, and nothing counts — including your referrer's credit — until you tap it.
Deletion: email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and we will delete your waitlist record within thirty days, including your referral history and any credits attributed through you. Erasure requests from EU signups are honored the same way.
Reservation data
If you reserve a founding place, we store: your email, your reservation's status and founding number, the version, time, and IP of the renewal consent you checked, and Stripe's identifiers for your payment. Stripe is our payment processor: your card number never touches our servers, and the saved payment method lives with Stripe. Consent records for reservations are retained for three years, as auto-renewal law requires. Refunds are available in one click from the link in your confirmation email until launch day.
Resend is our email processor — it delivers the verification, confirmation, and reservation emails you request by signing up. Bounces and complaints go on a suppression list so we stop mailing addresses that don't want mail. Transactional emails (verification, receipts) don't carry unsubscribe links because they answer an action you just took; anything editorial does.
Analytics — and why there is no cookie banner
We use Plausible, a cookieless analytics service. It sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device, and shows us aggregate counts, not people. There is no cookie banner on this site because there are no cookies to consent to. Purchase events are counted on our servers, not in your browser.
California notice at collection (CCPA/CPRA)
We collect: identifiers (email, IP address) and commercial information (reservation status), for the purposes above and for no others. We do not sell or share personal information as the CPRA defines those terms, and have not in the preceding twelve months. We use no third-party advertising. Your Privacy Choices: email [email protected] to access, correct, or delete your information. We do not discriminate for exercising these rights, and you may use an authorized agent.
EU signups (GDPR)
Consent is our basis for marketing email — collected by double opt-in, withdrawable by one email. Performance of a contract is the basis for reservation processing. Erasure is honored within thirty days, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Changes
We'll post changes here with a new date. If a change matters — new data, new purpose — we'll email the waitlist before it takes effect.
