Terms of Service

These terms cover what era. offers today: a waitlist and a Founding reservation. They are short because that is all there is. When the app launches, expanded terms will be posted first and the waitlist emailed.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation on either side. Your place in line is computed from verified signups and referral credits; we may withhold referral credit from signups that game the system — our checks do this silently rather than accuse. You can leave at any time by asking us to delete your record.

The Founding reservation

The Founding Hundred is a paid reservation, and these are its complete terms — the same terms shown before the checkout button, restated here as California's automatic-renewal law requires:

  • Price: $9.00, charged today. It is your first month of era. at launch.
  • Cadence: $9.00 per month from launch, for as long as you keep it. The founding rate never changes.
  • Automatic renewal: by checking the consent box at checkout you agree that era. will bill $9 monthly starting at launch until you cancel. The charge uses the payment method you saved at reservation, off-session, through Stripe, our payment processor.
  • Cancellation method: online, in one click, from the link in your confirmation email — the same medium you signed up in. After launch, the same link opens Stripe's billing portal.
  • Refunds: fully refundable until launch day, one click, no reason required. Refunds return your full $9.00. A refunded founding number is retired and never resold.
  • Your founding number is assigned in payment order on our payment processor's confirmation, and only one hundred exist.

The shop, today

The storefront shown at /shop ("aster at era.") is our own invention — a demonstration of how brand pages will feel. aster is not a real brand, and nothing on this site is offered for sale except the Founding reservation. When real brands join, each page will say who they are; prices will be the brand's own, never marked up.

The service, honestly

The site and waitlist are provided as-is while we build. We may change or discontinue pre-launch features; if we ever discontinued the Founding program itself, every active reservation would be refunded in full.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Counsel to confirm venue and entity before launch.]
